Shane Cogan

Shane Cogan (Ireland) is the author of the novel The Purple River which is excerpted in Anthology House Volume 2.

 

Shane has spent the last 20 years living and working all over the world, as a human rights worker and creative thinker. He is also a music producer and DJ, with two albums released to-date. His debut short film, Taboo is on Vimeo and addresses the issue of mental illness in young women. He is a published Author (fantasy/sci-fi). The Purple River is available on Amazon. He is currently working on his second novel. It is a fictional fantasy/magic story based loosely on 17th century Ireland and Kenya. It will be released in 2021. During 2020, he returned to Ireland after two decades away and started his own social enterprise – Rethinking Rural Ireland. It won best business pitch of 2020 at UCD. And in March 2021, it was featured in the Irish Times as one of the 16 big ideas to look out for in a post-covid world.
