Devanshi Jackson

Devanshi Jackson (India-United States) is the author of the short story "Reasoner" in Anthology House, a visionary ecology project.

Born in India, Devanshi Jackson was fifteen when her family immigrated to the US. She is an environmental engineer and a keen data scientist. Her passion for environmental preservation and biology-inspired innovations has spilled into many of her writings. Her love of literature began at a very young age; while listening to her parents sing Hindu hymns, she often felt the presence of great poets.

Though Jackson has written many poems, “Reasoner” is her first short story. The inspiration for “Reasoner” (which was an assignment for a creative-writing class at a local library) came while she was waiting for her daughter to finish soccer practice and witnessed a perfect ruby fall sunset beyond the woods!
